Have any of you ever restocked a Dutch Mannlicher ? I would prefer a modern stock if possible as I use a scope. Initial thoughts are that Mosin Nagant inlet would be close ? I saw this but have no idea if the "Steyr 95" is a Dutch Mannlicher ? ![]() Muscling into the fray would require a seriously brilliant rifle and one with aesthetics and performance to match. I was wondering if there is a modern stock with the inlet anywhere near so I could modify and then have it bedded in to take up the slack ? Steyr Mannlicher’s marketing strategy to re-introduce the Zephyr rimfire marque with the Zephyr II has been a bold one in a marketplace full of quality rimfire rifles, many from highly esteemed European manufacturers. And if he tried to customise something the cost would not be justified. I looked at having a local guy duplicate the inlet into a new stock but he said the proportions were all wrong and it would leave trigger too far forward of grip etc. It shoots easily into 1 moa so I want to keep it in service if I can ? Had cracks in grip repaired in India ( it was sporterised by Gibbs for Manton of Calcutta ) but has finally given up.īeen using it for stalking ( cut to 16" and suppressed ) with homeloaded 160gr using reformed. I have an old Dutch Mannlicher whose stock is beyond repair.
